Intellectual Property Policy
Last updated ·
This policy explains who owns the content and data on the Hostly platform, what you may use, and how to tell us about content you believe infringes your rights. It is part of the Terms and Conditions.
1. Provider
The service is provided by SAS Expansion Est., under the registered trademark “Hostly H”. The provider's full details are in section 2 of the Terms and Conditions.
2. Ownership of the platform
Hostly and everything in it, including the software, interfaces, designs, text, logos, databases and their arrangement, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by the copyright and trademark laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A subscription gives you no ownership in the platform, only a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use it, which ends when your subscription ends.
3. The trademark
“Hostly H” is a trademark registered with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property under number TM-01-00-42730-26 in class 42.
The mark, the logo and the Hostly name may not be used in any marketing material, product or domain name without our written permission.
4. Your content and data belong to you
Your data, your units' and guests' data, and the photos and text you enter into the platform belong to you. We claim no ownership of them and never sell them.
You grant us a limited licence to use them only as far as running the service for you requires: showing them in your account, syncing them with the channels you connect, and sending them to whom you choose. This licence ends when your account is closed, within the periods set out in the Privacy Policy.
5. Your responsibility for your content
You warrant that you hold the rights to everything you upload, including photos, descriptions and logos, or that you are licensed to use it. You alone bear the consequences of any claim about it.
6. What is not allowed
- Copying the platform or any part of it, reproducing it, or offering it as a service to others.
- Reverse-engineering it or attempting to extract its source code.
- Removing or altering any ownership notice.
- Using the Hostly name or mark in a way that suggests a partnership or endorsement that does not exist.
- Extracting the platform's content automatically.
7. Feedback and suggestions
We may use any feedback or suggestions you send us to improve the product, without compensation, and they give you no rights in the product.
8. Reporting an infringement of your rights
If you believe content on Hostly infringes your intellectual-property rights, write to hello@hostly.io or message us on WhatsApp, and include in your report:
- Your name and contact details.
- A description of the right you hold and the evidence for it (the trademark registration number or its equivalent).
- The content you are reporting and where it is on the platform.
- A statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
9. How we handle a report
- We acknowledge your report within one working day and give you a reference number.
- We review it and tell you the outcome within 5 working days.
- Where an infringement appears likely, we remove the content or disable access to it and tell the account holder.
- The account holder may object with evidence of their right, and we review again within 5 working days.
If the matter is not resolved, either party may go to the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property or to the competent judicial authority in the Kingdom.
10. Changes to this policy
We may amend this policy and update the date at the top. We tell you about a material change at least 30 days in advance.
